GENERAL RULES
1. 26th TSN Congress and 19th Nursing Congress abstracts will be
collected until 12 September 2009 via the www.nefroloji.kongresi.info
by employing the abstract system. For 9th Bantao Congress, abstracts
will be collected until 12 September 2009 via the
www.bantao2009.org
by employing the abstract system. The abstracts sent after this date
shall not be considered. Detailed writing rules is provided in the
abstracts systems.
2. Summaries sent by fax shall not be considered.
3. Evaluation will be done by the abstract evaluation committee. The
author and institude details wont appear during
evaluation period. For the abstract evaluation, at least, one of the
authors congress registration is compulsory. An acceptance letter
concerning the abstract evaluation result will be e-mailed to the author
after the 25 September 2009.
4. All abstracts will be compiled in the free communications abstracts
book and will be distributed to all participants free of charge.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Withdrawal of communications shall not be
possible after selection process has been finalized.

WRITING RULES
1. The abstracts should be written in “Times New Roman” font 10 by using
Microsoft Word.
2. Please arrange the text within the linens indicated on the form.
3. There should be no erasing, scrapings and corrections on the form.
4. In the event of using abbreviations, the full name should be written
in parenthesis.
5. The signs and symbols, which do not exist on the keyboard, should be
written with black-pen.
6. The title of the abstract and names/surnames of the authors should be
written in capital letters.
7. No academic titles should be used within the names.
8. No more than 10 author names should be written for a study.
9. The names and addresses of the institutions of the authors should be
stated.
10. Presentation author’ s name should be underlined.
11. The text of abstract should be written under the addresses by
leaving a space of one line.
12. There should be no spaces between the paragraphs within the whole
text; line spacing should be single and justified.
13. The objective of the study and the methods used should be briefly
defined, the findings should be summarized
with adequate numerical details and the conclusion based on the findings
presented should be stated. The abstract should be written using the
subtitles objective, method, findings and conclusion.
14. Care should be taken as to using expressions such as “The results
are not clear” or “the results will be presented during the meeting”.
15. The whole abstract should not exceed 200 words, excluding the title,
name and surname of the author. The report abstracts, which are not in
convenience with any one of the above requirements, will not be
evaluated.
The abstract to be accepted will be published in the Abstract Book. All
the books will be put into congress bags
and additional Abstract Book requests will not be accepted.
POSTERS
The width of the posters should be 70 cm and the height should be 90
cm. The posters should be designed in such a way that they can be
read from 1 meter distance. Posters will be exhibited on the date,
place and the stand notified by the organization committee. The
posters will be placed between 08.00-09.00 by their owners on the
date of exhibition and removed between 18.00-19.00 on the same day.
The posters, which are not removed between such hours, will be
collected. The Organization Committee is not responsible for the
posters lost or damaged during such collection process. Posters will
be attached their places by using adhesive paste and use of other
materials will not be permitted. The owners of the posters will be
assisted in attaching their posters.
PRESENTATIONS
When preparing your slides, please take the dimensions of the
meeting rooms into considerations and make sure that:
1. The slides should not contain more than 7 lines,
2. There are no more than 6 words in each line,
3. The slides should be designed horizontally,
4. The slides should not contain tables with extensive content,
5. The presentations should be prepared electronically.
PRESENTATION CONTROL SERVICES
All the speakers are kindly requested to submit their presentations
to presentation control room at the congress center at leats 3 hours
prior to their presentation. The control of presentations will be
carried out at congress center at least 3 hours prior to their
presentation. The control of presentations will be carried out at
the presentation control room by the assigned staff. In order to
prevent any problem with the presentations, we kindly request the
presentation controls to be performed together with the authorized
staff.
TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT OF THE MEETING ROOM
There will be data projector, PC, DVD player and standard technical
equipments and sound system in each meeting room. Please kindly
inform Figur Congress Organization Services in advance if you
request equipments other then these.
CONGRESS AWARDS
In order to encourage investigators, incentive awards will be given
by The Turkish Society of Nephrology and various institutions for
the studies submitted to the Congress and nominated by the selection
committee.
